About this treatment
What it does
Medical dermatology: the conditions that are treated because they are a problem, not because of how they look. These are settled before any elective work begins.
How it works
Diagnosis first, with a physical examination and, where needed, dermoscopy, patch testing or biopsy. Treatment is medical and evidence-led, and inflamed skin is calmed before any procedure runs on it.

What to expect
Depends entirely on the diagnosis. Downtime: none for consultation. Typically as the condition requires.

Looking after it
Complete the course as prescribed, including when it looks better. Bring a list of everything you have already tried.
