Overview
Bienox is a botulinum toxin type A injectable developed by Korea BNC (BNC Korea), supplied in a 100-unit lyophilised vial. Korean industry reporting indicates it received MFDS manufacturing and marketing approval in 2024 and is distributed domestically via Dongkook Pharmaceutical. It is marketed on a high-purity, vacuum-drying production positioning for aesthetic wrinkle treatment.
How it works
Botulinum toxin type A blocks acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction by cleaving the SNAP-25 protein required for synaptic vesicle fusion. This produces temporary, dose-dependent chemodenervation that relaxes the targeted muscle, softening dynamic wrinkles until nerve terminals regenerate over several months.
