Overview
Botulax is a botulinum toxin type A injectable manufactured by Hugel, Inc. of South Korea. It is one of the most widely exported Korean neurotoxins, supplied as a lyophilised powder for reconstitution and positioned as a cost-effective, established aesthetic toxin. It is marketed internationally under names such as Regenox and Botulift in some territories.
How it works
As a botulinum toxin type A, it cleaves SNAP-25 in the SNARE complex to block acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction, temporarily relaxing the injected muscle. The clinical effect is reversible as new nerve terminals form over time.

Composition
Active ingredient is Clostridium botulinum toxin type A complex, stabilised with human serum albumin and sodium chloride. Supplied as a freeze-dried (lyophilised) white powder in 100 U, 200 U and 300 U vial strengths.
Usage & handling
Reconstitute with sterile preservative-free 0.9% sodium chloride before use. Store refrigerated at 2-8C; use the reconstituted solution within the manufacturer's recommended window. Units are product-specific and not interchangeable with other botulinum toxin brands.
