Overview

J-Cain Cream is a KFDA-approved Korean high-strength topical anaesthetic formulated with 10.56% lidocaine for use before minimally invasive aesthetic and dermatological procedures. It is a single-agent amide-anaesthetic cream widely used in clinics to reduce procedural discomfort during injections, laser and needling work. Supplied in professional 30 g and 500 g presentations for clinic dispensing.

How it works

Lidocaine, an amide-type local anaesthetic, diffuses through the stratum corneum and reversibly blocks voltage-gated sodium channels in cutaneous sensory nerve endings, interrupting the initiation and conduction of pain signals. Applying a thick layer under occlusion raises the temperature and hydration of the skin, driving the drug into the epidermis and superficial dermis so that the treatment area becomes numb before the procedure begins.

Indications

  • Pre-injection anaesthesia for dermal fillers and botulinum toxin
  • Mesotherapy and injectable skin-booster sessions
  • Microneedling and derma-roller procedures
  • Laser hair removal and laser skin treatments
  • Tattoo and permanent make-up application

Composition

Lidocaine 10.56% (105.6 mg/g) as the sole active anaesthetic. Excipients reported include macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, carbomer (974P), sodium hydroxide and purified water.

Usage & handling

Apply a thick, even layer to intact skin and cover with occlusive film for the manufacturer-stated contact time before the procedure. Observe maximum treatable surface area and contact time to limit systemic lidocaine absorption, and reduce dose on thin or highly vascular skin. Remove the cream completely and cleanse the field before any energy-based (laser/RF) procedure. Avoid application to broken, inflamed or infected skin; professional (clinic) use only.
