Overview

Luthione is a reduced (L-)glutathione injectable supplied as a sterile lyophilised powder for reconstitution, available in 600 mg and 1200 mg per-vial strengths. It is used in clinician-administered IV/IM protocols for antioxidant support, skin brightening and general wellness. Each pack typically contains 10 vials for in-clinic course-based treatment.

How it works

Glutathione is a cysteine-glycine-glutamate tripeptide that acts as a major intracellular antioxidant, neutralising reactive oxygen species and supporting hepatic detoxification (phase II conjugation) pathways. Its reported skin-brightening effect is attributed to inhibition of tyrosinase and a shift of melanogenesis from darker eumelanin toward lighter pheomelanin, reducing melanin deposition. Delivered parenterally to bypass gastrointestinal breakdown of oral glutathione.

Indications

  • Skin brightening and management of dull, uneven tone
  • Antioxidant / oxidative-stress support
  • Hyperpigmentation-focused aesthetic protocols
  • General wellness and detoxification support programs
  • Combination brightening drips with vitamin C and ALA

Key features

  • Reduced (bioactive) glutathione as a lyophilised powder for reconstitution
  • Two strengths (600 mg and 1200 mg) for flexible dosing protocols
  • Suitable for IV drip, slow IV push or IM administration
  • Course-based packaging (10 vials per box) for in-clinic programs
  • Frequently combined with vitamin C and alpha-lipoic acid brightening protocols

Benefits

  • Supports antioxidant and skin-brightening treatment offerings
  • Dose flexibility (600/1200 mg) lets clinics tailor intensity and course length
  • Parenteral route avoids the poor oral bioavailability of glutathione
  • Established, widely-recognised Korean glutathione brand for catalogue credibility
  • Integrates into combination antioxidant / wellness drip menus

Composition

Reduced glutathione (L-glutathione) 600 mg or 1200 mg per vial; white lyophilised powder reconstituted before administration.

Usage & handling

Prescription-only injectable to be reconstituted and administered by trained medical staff via slow IV push, IV drip or IM injection; not for self-administration. Screen for G6PD deficiency before high-dose glutathione therapy owing to haemolysis risk, and take a full history including asthma, pregnancy/lactation and prior reactions. Reconstitute immediately before use, inspect for particulates, and observe the patient for hypersensitivity; typical aesthetic courses run once daily/weekly over roughly 10 sessions per clinician judgement.
