Overview
Meditoxin is a botulinum toxin type A produced by Medytox Inc., one of Korea's first domestically developed neurotoxins. It is exported under several regional brand names, including Neuronox, Siax, Botulift and Cunox. It is a conventional complex-type toxin positioned as an established, broadly available aesthetic product.
How it works
The type A toxin blocks acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction by cleaving SNAP-25, producing temporary, localised relaxation of the treated muscle. Muscle activity gradually returns as nerve signalling is restored.
