Overview

Muchcaine Cream is a KFDA-certified Korean topical anaesthetic containing 10.56% lidocaine, applied to intact skin before minor cosmetic and dermatological procedures. It is a single-agent amide-anaesthetic cream with a rapid onset used to temporarily numb the treatment area. Supplied in 30 g clinic tubes and 500 g bulk jars for professional dispensing.

How it works

Lidocaine penetrates the stratum corneum and reversibly blocks voltage-gated sodium channels in cutaneous sensory nerves, preventing the conduction of pain signals. A thick occluded application enhances hydration and drug uptake into the epidermis and superficial dermis, numbing the area within the manufacturer-stated onset window before the procedure.

Indications

  • Pre-injection anaesthesia for fillers and botulinum toxin
  • Mesotherapy and injectable skin boosters
  • Microneedling procedures
  • Laser hair removal and laser skin treatments

Usage & handling

Apply a thick, even layer to clean intact skin and occlude for the manufacturer-stated time before treatment. Stay within the maximum recommended surface area and contact time to limit systemic lidocaine absorption, and reduce the dose on thin or compromised skin. Remove residue completely before laser or other energy-based procedures. Do not apply to broken, inflamed or infected skin; for professional use.
