Overview
Olidia is a Korean poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen biostimulator supplied as a 365 mg lyophilised vial (150 mg PLLA with CMC and mannitol carriers), manufactured by PRP Life Science. It restores facial volume and improves skin texture by stimulating the patient's own collagen. Being fully synthetic, it does not require pre-treatment allergy testing.
How it works
The PLLA microparticles act as a scaffold that stimulates fibroblasts to produce new type I collagen. The CMC and mannitol carrier provides some immediate correction and is resorbed within weeks, after which accumulating collagen delivers gradual, longer-lasting volume. Collagen deposition typically peaks around 6 to 8 weeks and builds cumulatively over a multi-session protocol.
