Overview
Re N Tox is a botulinum toxin type A injectable manufactured by PharmaResearch Bio (Pharma Research Bio Co., Ltd.) of South Korea, supplied in 100- and 200-unit lyophilised vials. It is marketed on a low-diffusion profile intended for localised treatment and is used in aesthetic clinics in Korea and other markets. It is indicated for temporary reduction of moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles.
How it works
Botulinum toxin type A blocks acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction by cleaving the SNAP-25 protein required for synaptic vesicle fusion. This produces temporary, dose-dependent chemodenervation that relaxes the targeted muscle, softening dynamic wrinkles until nerve terminals regenerate over several months.
